These Safetran signals have 12" x 24" lights with Dialight ball L.E.D.s and 7" gate lights. This may be the last crossing on this line left with 7" gate lights, since County P in Portage and most of the ones in Watertown have been changed over to 4" L.E.D. gate lights as of 2009.
The eastbound signal has a Safetran mechanical bell, one of relatively few on this line that ring from startup to shutdown.

Video stills of the crossing in action for a very short westbound Amtrak. In picture 11 you can see a motorcycle under the near gate. I (WEHRAR17) was hoping he would cross before the signals activated so the bike engine wouldn't be on the soundtrack, but he pulled over and asked "Are you expecting a train?," then pulled through the lowering gates. |
