Crossing DOT #: 176683F
TOTAL
DAILY TRAINS: 10 (AS OF 2007)
This is one of my favorite types of crossings. All lights are 12"x20", gateless, and even though the red lights don't look like it, they are dotted L.E.Ds! There's one WCH electronic bell on this eastern signal.
Back in the 1980s, this crossing used to have two wigwags, back when this line belonged to the Chicago & North Western Railroad, before it merged with Union Pacific in 1995. The wigwags were converted to signals in the late 1980s, not after 1995. |

Here's the eastern signal with WCH clear LED lights.
Note the odd looking "DO NOT STOP ON TRACKS" sign, even though there is just one track here. |

February 20, 2008 update: The road has undergone a huge change from being widened from 2 lanes to 3 with a median, in addition to traffic lights.
The signals are now 12"x24" with gates. There are a total of 2 gated mast signals, and one cantilever. There are now 2 electronic bells here.
