The single 12" x 24" Safetran light is easilly viewable. |

This is the only cantilever crossing I have found on the UP mainline. All lights are 12" x 20" Harmon incandescent lights that closely resemble Modern Industries 12" x 20" lights, with one exception. As shown in pictures 1-3, one of the rear mast lights on the northbound cantilever is a 12" x 24" Safetran light. Each cantilever has a WCH mechanical bell on top.

Another view of the northbound cantilever. |
The second track is a spur to what looks like a grain elevator seen in pictures 7-8. You can see the switch for it in picture 6. Judging from the snow cover on it, it probably doesn't see much use.

The crossing activates! |
|
The box in picture 9 is just below the mismatched lights on the northbound cantilever. I wonder if the cantilever was grazed by a vehicle damaging both the box and the old 12" x 20" light?

More shots of the crossing in action, as the train begins to cross in picture 14. The locomotive has another one of those nose-mounted gong bells that looks and works like a mechanical crossing bell. |

My video camera ran out of battery power during the train crossing, so the audio clip will cut out abruptly.
