Facing East. For some odd reason, there's a third crossbuck with a Yield sign to the left of picture 2...

Front view of the cantilever signal.

Closeup of the cantilever mast lights.

The Eastbound signal is an old cantilever with 8" Harmon lights. The westbound signal is an 8" Safetran mast signal with a General Signals electronic bell. The signals do not protect warn of an approaching train on the siding, only the main line. Not a very smart idea CN!

Facing South.

Grove St. is in the distance.

The relay case.

There are two small errors on it. The DOT number ends with an R, not an A, and there is a "P" missing in Tompkins.

Pictures 1-10 were taken on December 20, 2006.

This crossing is in a quiet zone. Trains cannot sound their horns at this crossing.

11

Picture 11 was taken on December 20, 2007, one year to the day after the other 10 pictures. It faces west.

Like 9th St., the crossing has been eliminated by closing the road and making it dead end on both sides of the tracks. The classic 8" signals are gone.

Either CN or the city of Fond du Lac is on an unfortunate crossing closure campaign...
