A badly lit overview of the crossing.
This sign warns drivers of high vehicles about a height restriction, due to the overhead wires of the electrification system for the trains.

Tin cans on strings provide a further audible warning for overheight drivers.

Another view.
You can see that trains are not expected to cross here.

This is a quad-gate crossing at One West Anglia's station in Shelford. The crossing is activated by the signalman, who also controls wayside signals at Cambridge Power Signal Box. It activates about 2 minutes before a train arrives. Central Trains operate services along this line too.

Not all trains stop at Shelford, though. This crossing activates at the same time as the Granhams Road one does. No action shots due to engineering works on the line between Cambridge and Audley End. This line ends in London.
