This is how the crossing looked back in the year 2000. These type of signals are rare to find nowaways with the triangle bracketed gates and 8" lights.
These are the only remaining signals with triangle gate brackets in Plano. There used to be triangle gates at the UP crossings on 18th Street and Plano Parkway before DART took over that line. When that line was switched over to light rail, the 18th Street crossing got US&S gates and cantilevers, and the Plano Parkway crossing was grade-separated. |
