RV Boat & Storage have their own signals to warn traffic when a train comes. 12"x24" unknown LEDs with no bells and 2 gates guard the exit. Facing NorthWest past the crossing.

Notice the vehicle detection loops. It appears that their purpose is to keep the driveway gate open longer if a vehicle is detected in the northbound right lane within the crossing area. This is a remnant back from the US 77 days. A view of the wayside signal with a yellow over red, all lit in LEDs. The relay case has DOT information on it.

Originally, what is now Mill St was US 77. There was no railroad crossing at this location. The tracks continued north on the east side of (US 77). See Map #1. Due to the construction of Lewisville Lake, the tracks were re-routed, creating this crossing. Also, during this time period, US 77 was relocated to the west. It is now known as I-35E. The former US 77 in this area is now known as "Mill St."

The tracks were owned and operated by MKT during this time period. The tracks became UP's due to the MKT/UP merger. DGNO then took them over in the early 1990's.
This crossing was signalized in the mid-2000's. DCTA has just finished reconstructing the tracks in order to make them suitable for their commuter trains.
