Overall views facing north. This is an unusual setup since the crossing is beneath a diagonal overpass for Irving Blvd (TX 356). This crossing was also undergoing a signal replacement at the time of these photos. Note: The street that runs parallel to the tracks is named "Rock Island Road", since this track used to be part of the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad (a.k.a. "The Rock"). |

Two signals protecting the right turn lane from westbound Rock Island onto northbound MacArthur. |

The signal on the left side of the turn lane. Notice the strange way the traffic signals were hung. Wouldn't it have been easier to just mount them on the bridge support itself? |
The signal on the right side of the turn lane. This gate is very short: it has to fit under the bridge, and it only has to cover half of one traffic lane. |
A Safetran signal base. |

Two equipment bungalows - the old one on the left, and the new (air-conditioned) one to the right. |
The signals activate. |
Waiting for the train... the signals activated about 60 seconds before the train actually arrived! |
These are WCH 2nd-generation LED lights. Not lit... |

...and lit. |
The train arrives. It is running backwards, traveling eastbound towards Dallas. |
The gates go back up. The e-bells rang the entire time the gates were down, but turn off when the gates go up. |
Here is a crew unloading a new signal from a truck at an adjacent crossing (Rogers Rd.) |
