Very little has changed at the crossing. The tip gate light on the left signal is now 4", while the other gate lights remain at 7". Nothing else seems to have changed. |

Facing North. Check out this weird sign that was added for pedestrians. The text in the sign is in the new "Clearview" font. |

Lots of questionable changes happening at this crossing. First, they are adding wayside horns. Second, they have replaced the gates on short posts with full-blown mast signals with front and rear lights, double crossbucks, and GS e-bells. What's the point of these new mast signals hiding behind the cantilever uprights? Couldn't a set of rear lights on the cantilever post have provided the same benefit at a much lower cost? |
The short gate posts and the old gates with their 7" lights are laying on the ground to the NW of the crossing. In the background of photo #13 you can see what appears to be a new equipment bungalow. The same size as the old one in photo #12, too... what was wrong with the old one? |
The Quiet Zone signals with wayside horns are in place, but are not flashing yet. |

The commentary for pictures 10-14 were provided by Josh Baumann.
According to the FRA, this crossing was created in October 1987.
Note: On April 6, 2010, I was told the red X's on the wayside horns are flashing, so this crossing is a quiet zone now.
