Some new material in the year 2002, we were still trying to recover from the loss of my grandmother, so that's why there's only 13 videos.
Beaver St. - I used a tripod on this crossing. Some of the lights were a little out of sync. |
Enterprise Rd. #1 - The first video captured of the massive new look with 32 lights. The bells stop ringing after the train finishes crossing, unlike it's predecessors. |
Grand Canyon #1 - A BNSF train waiting for a red light backs across the crossing. |
Grand Canyon #2 - Another diesel train takes off with a much smaller load than usual. |
Park Rd. #1 - This crossing was taken from inside of my car because I was too late getting here from Interstate 40. |
Park Rd. #2 - Another short train comes by activating the lights again. |
Park Rd. #3 - A priceless video. Construction nearby the crossing activates the signals with no trains present. Any signal fan would love this video. Over 8 minutes in length! |
Rodeo Dr. - At a different crossing with the tripod, I capture engine #18, the same one from Wickenburg back in 1989. The bells at this crossing are the mechanical type. |
EXTRAS
These videos were from the old Super Video CDs due to water damage on my master tape.
Enterprise Rd. #2 - Another train approaches the new crossing. A much better look at the rate of flashing between incandesent and L.E.D lights. |
Enterprise Rd. #3 - Another visit to this crossing shows that all 32 lights are now L.E.D. |
Grand Canyon #3 - A look at the GCR train backing in to connect to it's customers for the day. |
Grand Canyon #4 - The train finally takes off. Very loud whistles and heavy smoke from the diesel locomotive accompany this video. |
Park Rd. #4 - The signals activate about a minute before the train begins crossing. The whistle on this BNSF locomotive is a little different than others I've heard. |
REVIEWS
gtw4070@gmail.com: Very cool DVD! It had a little of almost everything: Both Mechanical and Electronic bells, and Both steam and diesel. The 8 minute malfunction was funny to watch and I even said "Make up your mind man!" It seemed as though those signals could not make up their minds as to stay down or stay up. A must for any signal fan!
Senko LKE: This is a very good DVD to watch. Specially for the Park Rd. #3 video.
That video is definitely a collector's item for any crossing signal fan. It was also good to see some mechanical bells among so much electronic bells.
Definitely a must-buy for any signal fan! My favorite: Rodeo Rd., because (obviously) of the mechanical bells, and the scenario. After that, Park #3. That video is very fun.
