DVD FAQ
Created December 5, 2006
1) Do your DVDs play in a DVD player?
A: Of course. I just don't throw together a bunch of MPEG videos and sell it. All discs have menus and functions just like a traditional DVD.
2) Is there any charge for your DVDs?
A: This is answered on the Video section. Regular shipping isn't charged a dime. Express shipping such as 2 day express is $15.00, but 2 day is not available for PO boxes, so beware. I will not ship overnight mail for any reason. It's too expensive.
3) What's the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R discs? What are DVD+R DL discs?
A: Check here.
4) The center hub of the DVD is a little cracked. Why is this? Is the DVD defective?
A: The only discs I'm aware that do this are on DVD-R discs with white center hubs that say "PRINCO 4x" on them. If you have a disc like this, let me know, and I will replace these at no charge. If it's any other disc, they will not be replaced, unless the disc is truely defective.
I have told a lot of people to use the NERO CD-DVD SPEED program. Not many people use this tool. USE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
5) What is NERO CD-DVD SPEED?
A: It's a tool for checking CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R DL, and DVD-RAM discs. It scans the disc for any errors that may be on a disc.
If you suspect that a DVD I've sent you is defective, use this tool first. No one has ever used this tool who have complained about my DVDs. It's free! I may not replace the discs without seeing a report first.
If NERO CD-DVD SPEED does not show any errors, then the DVD player you own will not play that particular kind of disc. It will probably play other brands, but if that's the case, the discs will not be replaced. Do your homework first!!!!!!!
