It's come to my attention that future orders of DVDs must include DVD players names. Why?

Well, all recordable DVD discs are put together a little different than store bought DVD discs. Compatibility with one brand of DVD recordable discs might be different than one other brand.

Here are two examples:

Memorex MVD2042 DVD Player: I had some movies on Memorex DVD+R discs that would play correctly on the DVD menus, and transitions. However, once the main movie started playing, the movie would skip around violently to the point where you could not watch it. I re-recorded the movie to another brand of DVD+R disc (I can't remember what brand), but the skipping stopped.

Sony RDR GX-315 DVD Recorder: Every once in a while, the player would reject DVD-R and DVD+R discs made from Sony. The player would say the disc is too dirty and would refuse to even play, while it plays perfectly on all other players. Switching the brand name to another brand fixed the problem.

I've been accused of using poor media to record my videos onto. Sure, I buy DVD media when it's on sale, but I do not get cheap media. I buy very popular brand names at places such as Wal-Mart, OfficeMax, Best Buy, Target, and Sears.

So from now on, I need to know any DVD players the discs will be used on, so that I can try to match what will work with your player.

I cannot check compatibility on DVD-ROM drives unfortunately, so if you'll be watching the DVD movies in your computer, please put "DVD-ROM" if you don't have a DVD Player hooked up to your TV.

If so, you can request which brand of DVD disc, and I'll try my best to get it if it's in my available area.
