The Memorex discs are not too bad from what I've seen, but they do have some compatibilty issues. That's why I don't use these. I will only use these discs if a player says it will work with the player.

I tried a inkjet printable disc from Memorex, and it showed damage even after cleaning it. I'll be careful with these discs.

The Philips discs have shown some problems with some people, but I haven't had any errors with these discs yet. They were bought from Big Lots for $15.00 for a 50 pack.

The Maxell discs are pretty new, so there's no record of them at this time.

I've been primarilly using Verbatim discs for dual-layered media. I haven't had any problems with them, and the few who have used the discs haven't had any complaints from them, especially when used with DVD-ROM booktype.

I used a Memorex disc once, and haven't had any problems, although the ratings are poor overall, so I won't use them at all. I'll save them for my personal usage.

The Fuji-Film discs are a bit hit-and-miss, but I will use if requested, and if they work in your player. They only seem to play in about 33% of DVD players.

I have not used the Hewlett-Packard discs yet, they seem to be okay, but beware. There's talk of burning problems, but I always check my burns out. The discs are gold colored, but I'll check to see if labels can cover up all the gold coloring.

Why don't I find some other discs that do work? Well, for a population of between 125,000 to 150,000 people in a 25 mile radius, the area is vastly underdeveloped.

All I have around here is Wal-Mart (2), K-Mart (2), Target, Staples, OfficeMax, Best Buy, Radio Shack (2) and Costco.

I don't have a Circuit City, Office Depot, CompUSA, or a Fry's Electronics near me where I can look for more media. I also don't order media from the Internet in case I get bad media, and I can't return it.
