This was installed in the last few months at the 91st ave crossing in Peoria, AZ. I noticed more crossings now have these installed. Has anybody else seen these?

I heard these are the new "Safetran" mechanisms and that yes, more are coming.
Cheers,

Yeah... we had a discussion about this company last summer:
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=2095&hilit=invensysIn fact, if you click on the link for Safetran's website that SouthernPacificLines provided in that thread, it takes you to Invensys's website now.

Interesting scanning over those. And I taught myself something!
I was trying to figure out what the difference is between an entrance gate and exit gate. I realized that an exit gate is used on a quad crossing and that in the event of a power failure, the exit gate will "fall up" instead of down. I assume so as to not completely block off the crossing?

Our latest 5 installs have "Invensys" S-40's. Good mechs. Basically no difference in the innards from the Safetran and Invensys '40's, except the cover door seems to be lighter and made of cheaper grade aluminum, and of course the different logo. Still basically the same gate mech, just one company buying out another.
Just the facts, ma'am.

I learned the logo doesn't stick on well.

I speak my mind, if you don't like that oh well. I'll have you fill out a hurt feelings report and submit that to my office.
