Personally, I'd say if you don't want people stopping on the tracks there, don't put the crossbuck with the yield sign INBETWEEN THE TRACKS.

Agreed... a bit odd, but my thinking is that they wanted that yield sign and flashing lights to be the more prominent sign. They could have put the crossbuck behind it I suppose, but would not be very visible.

There's a patch of dirt behind the yield sign. I could be wrong, but it seems to me that's where the crossbuck USED to be...
