Postby cabman701 » Tue Sep 28, 2010 7:37 pm

Has anyone been following the heat wave the last couple of days in Southern CA? Los Angeles hit a high of 105 on Sunday and 113 Monday... the hottest temperature ever recorded there!

Here is an article:

And to think when I was there 3 weeks ago they had cloudy, misty conditions and highs only in the 60s...

It's hot in Arizona too. Flagstaff set a record high Today of 83, breaking the old record of 82 set back in 1963.

Prescott also set a record of 91 Today also, breaking the 2003 record of 90.

Looks like our hot period may be coming to an end. Temperature highs are looking to drop 20 degrees by the middle of next week down from the low 90s to the low 70s.

Phoenix is looking for a cooldown to around 90 by next Wednesday, along with lows close to 60. Looks like Fall is finally on its way.

From what I've been reading about, I think our Summer Temperatures are nearly up.

Today's high of 90 will likely be the hottest for the season. According to Accuweather, and from what the NWS in Flagstaff is saying, a huge cooldown into the upper 60s is coming on Wednesday, along with a return to the low 80s, then cooling back to the 70s again.

I can hardly wait... :TUP1:

Even Phoenix is looking for a high of 84 on Wednesday, a big change from 104 expected Tomorrow.

Same here. Today was the last hot day before 89 tomorrow and 70s for the rest of the week. Just some isolated thunderstorms to worry about tonight and tomorrow.

Well for the first time I had to turn my furnace on this morning. It got down to 34 here and my house (trailer) was 62 when I got up.

It is now 12:30 p.m. and still only 59 degrees outside. Fall is definitely making it's presence felt in Illinois!
