Yeah, that heat wave was brutal in the NE. Heat indexes and even temperatures managed to get into the 100s. In the NE, a heat wave is defined as 3 or more consecutive days of 90 degree weather. We had 5 straight days of temps at or above 90 degrees. It won't be that much better this coming week as temps will again hover around the 90 degree mark with lots of humidity which will puch heat indicies well into the 90s. It's 88 outside right now, but there's no real humidity, so it's not so bad.
