I've seen bells mounted on the case before... but not like they were just mounted with super glue.

Almost looks like it used to be mounted to a pole... appears the adapter for that is still underneath the bell.

Re: mounting a bell up on the cantilevers, ...why would a bell need to be heard over a train anyway? If you can't hear a train roaring by, you sure won't be able to hear the bell.
Too much silly thought prelevant without including practicality....
