This is one of my favorite crossings. All the luscious greenery almost engulfs the crossings signals at the crossing (well, one of them anyway, picture 8 below).
Picture 4 faces West. There isn't much visibility to see a train coming. This crossing is one that really needs signals.
There's another mast flasher in picture 2 due to the poor visibility of the crossing ahead. All lights are 12"x20" incandescent with two mechanical bells.
Take a look at the "SPEED 25" sign in picture 4. This is Oregon's method for a "SPEED LIMIT 25" sign. The "SPEED LIMIT" signs are slowly starting to come to Oregon, but very slowly. The "SPEED" signs primarilly rule Oregon. |
