Check this out. Both signals have triangle style gates, but the lights in picture 1 are 12"x20", while the other signal in picture 2 is 8". Both bells are US&S teardrops, and you can see in picture 3 that the bell, as well as the crossbuck has moss on it.

NOTE: This crossing sometimes malfunctions. I was told that after a train finished crossing, as the gates went up, the bells went silent. While going back up, the bells started again, and the gates lowered.

They stayed down for 10 seconds before going back up and quitting for good. The latest FRA report states that this crossing is under "Constant Warning Time" relays, which I've been told is pretty unreliable.

These pictures were taken in June 2005.

On March 18, 2007 we find that the crossing has changed to 12"x20" with standard gates, and GS electronic bells. Also, the P&W put these signals up with lots of spare parts that they have. This signal (compared to picture 1) is the better looking of the two.

Both Andrew and I are very disappointed that the P&W would change two good signals that didn't need upgrading in the first place.
