This is a new rail line called the "WES" or "Westside Express Service" that began running trains on February 2, 2009.

Picture 3 shows the result of some serious problems with the gate. A gas station attendant said first one fell on a car for no reason at all. The second one caught the wind as it went back up and bent in the middle. It spent the next few weeks leaning against the light pole while a replacement was located. There was originally only one gate guard here but as you can see, they felt a second might help.

 

Despite having 32 daily trains, I feel this crossing should've been gateless like the others.

The signals activate, and turns the traffic lights yellow.
