An overview of the crossing. |
The signal base is from Premier Products. |
This gate mechanism is from WCH. |
The lights on this signal are 12"x20" Harmon incandescent lights. |
A look at the signs and the WCH mechanical bell on this signal. |
A look at a few of the tracks here. |
A track view. |
This gateless cantilever guards a side street called "NC-1414". |
All gate lights are 4" incandescents. |
More views of the one signal, which has a WCH mechanical bell. |
Here's another gateless signal for another crossing. |
|
It has a Harmon signal base. |
A track view. |
Another track view, including another crossing in the distance. |
The relay case. |
Here's a view of the other gated signal. It's identical to the other gated mast signal. |
Note: This is a very complicated setup, so here's what CSXRailfan2 did not get:
Although not pictured, there are actually 3 crossings! There are two with signals, and another crossing not pictured guarded by crossbucks alone (take a look at pictures 6 and 11 to see two additional crossbucks, which in fact do protect another track).
The cantilever shown in pictures 6 and 8 protects a side street called NC-1414, and cannot be visible by traffic on Brown Street. There is no gateless signal for traffic on Brown Street on that crossing.
Also, the FRA has most of this information incorrect, such as a total of 6 tracks (4 total), 2 crossbucks (6 total), 1 gate (2 total), 2 mast signals (3 total), and 0 cantilevers (1 total). It may only protect one crossing (the crossing in the distance in picture 1), but either the FRA didn't update this crossing correctly, or there was never a new DOT number added for the remaining two crossings, when there should've been.
