This is an interesting setup here. I think that this is the CSX crossing, but I'm not 100% sure. Most of the lights on these signals are 12"x24", but the lights on the back of the gates are 12"x20". Both signals have mechanical bells. Amtrak uses both crossings for some odd reason.
In picture 2, a CSX work truck is blocking the tracks for some unknown reason. A train with 8 cars was waiting for a red light on a block signal (just to the right of picture 2 not seen). These work trucks have a very strict amount of time for stopping train traffic, and in addition to that, an Amtrak train was coming in the opposite direction, and from what I've heard, if you delay an Amtrak train, you really hear about it. NS and Amtrak have trackage rights on this crossing. |

Another view of the crossing. |
There's another crossing behind this one. This NS crossing is a 4-quad crossing! |
You can see the NS crossing in the background of this CSX crossing. |

Here some pictures of the NS 4-quad crossing. This crossing has a mix of 20" and 24" discs. The FRA doesn't mention the 4-quad crossing as of yet. Their last update was 1997. It appears that there's only 1 crossing bell, and it looks like a General Signals electronic bell seen on the background signal shown in picture 7.
You can barely see it, but above the cantilever signal in picture 7, there's another set of lights mounted above. You can barely see them next to the Stop sign. |
