I thought there was supposed to be 35 railroad crossings around Reno. There were only about 15-20. Most crossings are overpasses, which made me a little unhappy about Reno. There's less than 5 crossing now I think.

 

All the crossings seen on this page are defunct due to a track construction project in 2005 to put the tracks underground (similar to the Alameda Corridor project in California) in the downtown area of Reno. Outside of Reno, crossings still exist though.

I did not see any trains while I was here in Reno on September 3, 2001 for the 3 hours I was there.
