The 913078S (Milepost 0.45) crossing is for the wigwag signals, and the 913081A (Milepost 0.86) crossing is for the 12"x20" gateless signals.

Once upon a time, there used to be train tracks through Carson City, but alas, they have been removed. The only place left to see trains and signals today is at the Nevada State Railroad Museum. Construction is ongoing to extend the line from Virginia City to Carson City, and should be complete by 2012. Enjoy what is left of the Carson City trains below.

NOTE: THE TRAIN DOES NOT RUN ALL THE TIME. IT RUNS ONLY ON MAJOR HOLIDAYS, AND OTHER SPECIAL OCCASIONS SUCH AS MOTHERS DAY AND FATHERS DAY. OTHERWISE YOU GET A TROLLEY CROSSING THE TRACKS. UNFORTUNATELY THE TROLLEY DOES NOT CROSS THE WIGWAG CROSSING.

The lights are shifted away from the road for some strange reason... The bells are US&S Teardrop.

Note some of the relectorized dots missing off this old crossbuck.

This target has got a real good paint job on it.

This one may need a little work.

On June 8, 2009 Andrew Plummer comes out here to see that the wigwags are still here, and look better than they did back in 2001.
