This should look familar to some of you. This was originally found and posted on Dan's Wigwag Site. Here's a updated picture of the former wigwag! This was rumored to be the last wigwag in the state of Michigan. Note that the crossbuck was installed incorrectly. The bell was a Modern Industries mechanical. It ringed a little faster than a normal bell does.
The wigwag isn't built like a traditional one. It's basically a 8" light made to look like a wigwag. It even has the 8" visors on it too! Also note the "STOP ON RED SIGNAL" sign which should read "STOP WHEN SWINGING" if one could've been found.
The other side of the road has one crossbuck, and one stop sign. |

Here's video of the wigwag in action from over 10

Yes, you see them right, two BRAND NEW 8" signals with re-used 8" light heads have replaced the two crossbucks that were here. On top of that, both signals have mechanical bells! The signal where the wigwag was (picture 4) has a Safetran bell, while the other signal in picture 5 has a WCH mechanical bell. The 8" lights are made by WCH. |

A crossbuck and stop sign used to exist here. |
A good replacement for the wigwag if I do say so myself. |
Pictures 4-11 were taken on April 30, 2005.
Here are some more shots of the crossing when there is a little more green then there was on April 30. Note that the relay case doesn't have the street name, DOT number, or the milepost number listed on it yet. |

The signals start up for a train! Gtw4070 was chasing this train to Owosso, when he decided to make a small pitstop over here. |

Hopefully that locomotive in picture 21 was heading for restoration. I've been told that the Safetran and WCH bells work and sound great, there's still a void with the wigwag missing for almost 6 months. |
