I don't know when these signals went in, but these look like a late 90s installation. The lights are all WCH, except for the rear lights on the gates, which are Safetran. The bells are General Signals Type 1, which aren't very loud. |

From Gtw4070: "Okemos Road is a big heavily used road, and it gets congested at times. The Ingham County Road commission recently decided to add another lane to the east side of the road. Problem is, they decided this without consent from the public. They never held a meeting to discuss the idea with residents like they are supposed to. They just voted to go ahead and do it. Now some of the residents are BOILING MAD and making a huge fuss about it. They have delayed it a lot thus far, and, if it is delayed one more time, construction will not happen this year. Residents want the expansion to be on the other side of the road (west side) for some reason, but there are stores and other buildings in the way on the other side, and there is no room to do it. Besides, the power line poles are already set up on the east side. Whatever happens, one thing is for sure, the crossing and signals will be affected by it." |
