This is the first crossing on The Charlotte Southern. In picture 5 is the Cochran #2 on the website, you see a track branch off from the Main Line. That is the Charlotte Southern. Just after the switch, the CHS crosses McClure Street. This crossing USED to go across the Charlotte Southern AND the Grand Trunk Mainline that runs behind it. But they took the Grand Trunk crossing out and now the road dead ends right on the other side of the crossing.

The Grand Trunk often leaves grain cars for the Charlotte Southern on this portion of the track, so the crossing is often blocked. This crossing has no advance warning signs or pavement markings and only has one crossbuck. This crossing, should be taken out. Just after this crossing, the tracks curve southeast a bit and the next crossing up is the Cochran #2 crossing.
