Both signals consist of 8" incandescent frames. Both bells are WRRS mini bells, and still work fine. The crossbuck on picture 1 is newer than the one shown in picture 2. The discs also look replaced in picture 1 than picture 2.
This is the last crossing on this line. It dead ends 1/2 mile from this crossing. |

* DECEMBER 1, 2007 MINI-UPDATE* The Charlotte Southern's lone customer was the grain elevator seen in picture 2. They are still shipping their corn, but it is going to a nearby ethanol plant. It is much more efficient and cheaper to move the corn to this plant by truck than it is by rail, so the elevator has discontinued rail service earlier in 2007. Will it return? Maybe.... but for now the crossing is defunct. Both of these signals have been removed, but the track still remains.
* SEPTEMBER 2, 2010 MINI-UPDATE* Upon checking Google Street View, the crossing appears to have the tracks torn out, and the crossing has crossbucks. Click here to check it out.
