Facing East.

Facing North.

You can see a railroad worker on the tracks.

Facing South.

Most crossing DOT numbers that begin with a 9 tell you that it's a new crossing that was put in recently. This one is no exception. This crossing was created in 1999, and has remained this way since. The signals are 12"x24" incandescents from Safetran. The mechanical bell seen in picture 2 is also from Safetran.

The gates are pretty bleached in picture 2. Hardly any red coloring shows on both gates.

You can see the stripes in picture 3 though.

Facing West. The train in the distance did cross here. There are no action pictures, but an audio file is available below!

The DOT number, beginning with a nine.

All pictures were taken on December 9, 2006.

(THE SAFETRAN BELL STOPS WHEN THE GATES LOWER, BUT DOES NOT ACTIVATE AGAIN WHEN THE GATES RISE.)
