One of 2 relay cases with an incorrect DOT number. The correct ones are listed on top. |
As you can see, this is a double crossing. The closest cantilever protects traffic from possibly another train crossing on the closest 2 tracks. |
|||
Note: The 005921B DOT number doesn't exist on the FRA site.
The 3 Safetran cantilevers are DOT #: 005922H and gets 4 daily switching trains with no Amtrak service.
The 2 Harmon cantilevers across the tracks are DOT #: 005920U, and gets 10 daily trains plus Amtrak.

This cantilever has a Safetran mechanical bell. |

These are older Safetran incandescent lights. |
A look at the other crossing, and another gateless Safetran cantilever protecting the crossing that's not active. |

Another view. |
Note that in addition to the Safetran mechanical bell, and a GS bell on the gate. |
Here's a look at the other crossing. It has 12"x24" and 12"x20" Safetran incandescent lights on Harmon cantilevers. |
Note: I've been told that both the GS electronic bell and Safetran mechanical bell seen in picture 11 works!
Note: In picture 12, although not seen very clearly, both Harmon cantilever signals have GS electronic bells on the gate masts behind the cantilever signals.
These are the only 12"x20" Safetran incandescent lights at this crossing. The rest are 12"x24" Safetran incandescent lights. |
Proof that these cantilevers are from Harmon. |

Facing South on the tracks that are protected by the Harmon cantilevers. |

Note: On the 005922H (3 Safetran cantilever crossing), one of the 2 tracks dead ends about 50 feet past the crossing, so I doubt that it gets any traffic. The other doesn't go too far before dead-ending too, although there could be room for some switching, but not much.
On the GIS web maps on the FRA page, it shows these tracks are abandoned, although I'd say that they are more out of service than abandoned.
