These 2 sets of cantilevers have mismatched 12"x20" and 12"x24" lights. |
Facing North, and showing a train coming. |
|
There is a bell on the gate in picture 1, which is a Safetran type 1 electronic bell.
The bell on the gate in picture 2 I've been told is a General Signals Type 2 bell, although it sounds more like a type 1 to me.
Also I've been told that this line has quite a high number of Safetran type 1 electronic bells.

The FRA report says that only CN (actually WC) and Metra are the only users of this line. The FRA left out NS and BNSF.

CLICK THE ICON TO THE LEFT TO HEAR THE CROSSING IN ACTION.
(THE GENERAL SIGNALS ELECTRONIC BELL SOUNDS LIKE A TYPE 1 TO ME) (THE CLIP IS NOT HIGH QUALITY AND THE BELLS ARE SOMEWHAT HARD TO HEAR) |
