This crossing is near a cement plant.

The dust you see on the signals is from recent rains, and that dust has stuck onto the signals. The weird part is that there's someone that works at the plant that comes out everyday and cleans the red lenses on the lights! Picture 3 shows a mechanical bell, while picture 4 shows a General Signals electronic bell.

These pictures were taken May 10, 2005.

A return trip on October 28, 2009 by Bill Steck shows the crossing in action, as well as some small changes. The bell seen in pictures 30 and 31 changed from a WCH mechanical bell to a GS electronic bell, and in picture 32, the GS electronic bell changed to a WCH electronic bell.

The train only takes 1 minute to cross before the gates rise in picture 34.
