This is a weird one. It looks like there used to be just gated signals. Now it looks like the cantilever was added years later. The gate is in front of the cantilevers. Plus, the lights on the gate, and on back of the mast on the cantilever are not the same height.

 

As you can see, these camcorder pictures were taken on February 26, 2003.

 

There were 10 pairs of 12"x20" signals here with a mechanical bell on top of each Safetran gated signal.

Pictures 3 and 4 show dismantled signals. I'm wondering if those are the old 36th St. signals? Picture 5 shows the old Wardlow and 36th street relay boxes.

I guess near the end of their lifetime, the lights were changed to 12"x24"...
