This crossing is one of two in Williams that used to have a WCH and WRRS mechanical bell.

Both signals are in good shape.

Just in case you'd forgotten...

The track to the left dead ends a half mile away. The right track goes to the depot on Grand Canyon Blvd.

Another picture.

In the background is a train I missed while I was here. It was approaching 7th St. and Grand Canyon Blvd.

There was a controlled brush fire around here. It got pretty black at times. The track in back here is the same one that goes to Flagstaff, Exit 178, and Seligman. I saw one train going eastbound. After the last car was seen, another one emerged from behind going westbound. They looked like they were going pretty slow (25-30 MPH).

Note: The steam locomotive that went through this crossing is #18, the same one that went through Wickenburg in 1989.

Picture 18 shows the DOT # on the gate. This is facing west. Pictures 17, 19, and 20 have yet another upgrade. The old mechanical bells are now WCH electronic bells. I really didn't want to see this, I mean the crossing only activates 2-4 times per day on average...

Here are some updated pictures. These 12"x20" lights are made by WCH. Nothing's changed at the crossing since I was last here.
