This crossing is reported to have just crossbucks by the FRA. These signals are pretty new. There's only one General Signals electronic bell here, and the lights are 12"x24" Ball L.E.Ds. All these pictures face West. |

These pictures face East. |

A rear shot of the western signal. |
On January 4, 2006, I ventured back out here to get the crossing in action. The lights are ball type L.E.D. lights, and the gate lights are L.E.D. as well. The electronic bell is a General Signals type 2.
These pictures were not taken by a digital camera. I now have a DVD camcorder, however all did not work out as well. On my 4th video (this crossing was my first) one out at the Sherwood Forest crossing, my mini DVD-RW disc gave out on me during the middle of one of my videos, and unfortunately, I've read that that kind of error is a pretty common error to happen, and nothing can be done about preventing it. The camcorder still works, although I had to use a recovery program (ISObuster) to get these videos back!
For those of you who wonder what DVD camcorder I used, it's a SONY DCR-DVD92.
I'll be going back to my two VHS-C camcorders, now that I've figured out how to fix the problem of my eaten tapes. |
