This crossing is about 100-200 feet West from the Apache Dr. crossing.

Picture #3 shows a GS electronic bell resting on top of the lights. I don't know why. When mechanical bells were around, one of them was located there too. |

Here is a picture of this crossing. The signals start up, but the train ends up backing up and never crosses (at least when I was there). Also notice that the left signal has the 8" lenses that are long gone. This picture was taken September 12, 1987 in the early morning hours. Note the train is in SPSF colors... |

Picture 18 shows the view looking at Apache St. Note there is plenty of room for the light rail to come by. Before 1968, passenger service was at Wickenburg, and at the time, these crossings had 3 tracks instead of one. |

I don't have a preview window on this camera to check what I'm going wrong. Pictures 18-27 were taken December 28, 2003. |

On March 15, 2006 I came back out here. I like these warning signs. The "R" looks like a non-bolded type F sign. Most signs now are E type bold font.
Had I stayed around here another 30 minutes, I could've caught a train here, unfortunately, I missed it, but caught it at Morristown. |

The crossing was caught in action on March 13, 2010. by BNSFman08. Looks like the crossing has had a couple minor changes...
If you look at picture 12 and 34, you can see the front lights have been turned straight, and don't have that slight curve anymore. The rear lights on the opposite signal appear to have the same change. |

As you can see, the Safetran frames still have incandescent light bulbs inside. |

Both General Signals bells are still Type 1 sounding. In picture 41, the last car is about to cross, and the overall amount of time the train takes to cross is about 3 minutes. |
