This only Friday the 13th of 2002, I got a something extra at this crossing. A few minutes after the last train passed, I got in position for another run, with BNSF employees replacing rails and ties on a spur track. At around 10:33 AM, I heard the bells going off, but when I started the camcorder, they went off, and on, and off, and on... A work car kept triggering the sensor sending the signals in a frenzy. The signals kept going for about 7 minutes, then the work car left the trigger, but a few minutes later, another work car entered the same place, doing it all over again. It continued for about 15-20 minutes before it the work cars left the trigger. Look below for a few pictures.
The Arizona Signals 2002 DVD shows this rare incident. The DVD is only $8.00.

The signals begin to go crazy. The gates went up and down about 10 times before they stay down for about 3 minutes. I didn't get the end of the session because a truck came up behind me. I stopped wondering what I could do to let the truck pass. I walked all the way over to the other crossing and the gates went up for a while.

The second work car triggers the signals. They go on and off about 15 times during this session. The gates went down partially twice. When going back up while going down, the signals closest shakes a little.

Back on the other side, the signals are still going off. One time the gates stayed down for about a minute and a half then go up to the lights flashing about 3 seconds about 15 times.
No trains came by during the whole duration. A very good video for a Friday the 13th.
