WCH Gate LED Lights were invented in the late 1990's. They have been popular on UP & Light Rail setups.

This kind of Gate Light use 10 LED's on each side of the gate light and is covered in a red plastic housing. The LED's on the Gate Light are numbered D1 through D10.

A set of 3 LED gate lights are part Number 1597-50. These LEDs can run on 8 to 14 volts, and operates between -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F). They draw 4.5 watts of power if run on 10 volts D.C.
