RECO Gate LED Lights were invented in about 2003. They have been very popular on newer steups on CP, CN, BNSF, UP, & CSX. There are also incandescent versions of light, but they are less common to find. The RECO website does not mention LEDs, only 18 and 25 watt incandescent bulbs, although they are really being phased out in favor of LEDs.

These kinds of Gate Lights are supposed to last exceptionally long & have proven to be very reliable. They use just a single LED on both sides. They are the size of a typical 4" Gate Light. No 7" Gate Lights are made by RECO.

The prices for these lights is about $20 to $30 for a set of 3, lots cheaper than the competitive WCH and Alstom-Aurora gate LEDs.
